My ideas for Goldilocks’ flight suit and weapon. I’m going for a retro-look for her helmet (based on a USAF one from the 1960s) and a futuristic-looking Kriss gun.
Hard-edged SF isn’t really my strong point so I felt I needed to work out the flying-armour design in more detail before attempting a larger drawing of it. I’ve got to get moving as the deadline is approaching!
Here are my first designs ideas for Goldilocks’ flying power-suit. At the moment it’s something like a Gundam robot or MaschinenKrieger suit with the styling of a Lockheed Blackbird. This was just to get an idea for the shapes and positions of the limbs, jets etc. and to keep it a retro cold-war post-apocalypse style.
These are my weapon ideas for the Bears. I started with the idea of giving the father Bear a huge rotating cannon (a bit like the Soviet WWII machine guns) but then my brother had the idea of a hammer for the father and a machine gun with a sickle magazine for the mother! So I think I’ll do that.
Here’s a quick composition I drew for this competition. Goldilocks has got out of her armour to search the cave/bunker inhabited by the bear-mutants and they have returned from their patrol to find her. I need to work out the actual weapons for the Bears and Goldilock’s flying armour thing.
Here are some of ideas for the the retro powered armour that the neo-soviet mother and father bears will be wearing. The idea is that the bears have left their cave/bunker on patrol (maybe they heard jet engines?) and returned to find it destroyed by Goldilocks’ flying power-suit and a surprised Goldilocks; maybe out of her armour.
I plan to create a picture based on the famous tale of Goldilocks and the Three Bears. My alternate version would have Goldilocks as a punky, American ex-special forces woman and the three bears Neo-soviet mutant/hybrids. Here are my designs for the bears:
