Horror and dark fantasy pictures from my sketchbook.
This was an idea I had a few years ago and hadn’t really done it justice the first time around. Essentially I’d re-create Grant Wood’s famous American Gothic painting with Lavinia, Old Wizard and Wilbur Whately from H. P. Lovecraft’s The Dunwich Horror. The finished picture is in my gallery here:
These are characters I’ve designed for a H.P. Lovecraft themed picture(or series of pictures) I’m was working on but have had to stop to finish some other artwork.
These are the heroes of course. All the 1920’s clothing is as accurate as I can get from my reference materials. Fonts are by the H.P. Lovecraft Historical society.
